IB Global Politics Sample Essay
IB Global Politics Sample EssayI've spent some time recently thinking about the challenges that students face when considering an IB Global Politics sample essay. We're approaching a time in history where we are going to be forced to consider the future of our country and the world, and it's really quite interesting to me how so many students are showing little or no interest in this subject matter. For example, I recently spoke with an extremely bright student who told me that she had not read a single IB Global Politics article in her entire life. She said that she was very concerned about her future and what it would mean for the United States if something went wrong, but was totally unaware of the potential dangers that were facing the country. She was also quite uninformed about where the United States of America was headed in the future and didn't understand the world leaders at all. That is why I think it's such a shame that so many students have never even taken a close look at the question of global leadership, since the test questions are quite clear about both what your students are being tested on and where they are going to be tested. As you'll see from the Global Politics sample essay, what you need to do is start teaching your students about current events in the world before they even take their IB Global Politics exam.To really help your students understand the issues that face our country today, I think you'll be very happy to know that I'm sharing one of my IB Global Politics essays below. This article was first published on my personal blog, but has now been posted to Scribd, so that anyone can view it and print it out if they wish to copy and paste it on their own.I realize that these issues are very complex, and that there are a lot of reasons why students might be having trouble answering the Global Politics sample essay questions. However, one of the most important things to do is make sure that you provide your students with a good ground ing in the topic sothat they have a clear understanding of the potential dangers facing our country. In this example essay, I hope to provide a solid foundation for students to build upon when they take the Global Politics test later on.Before I get into my discussion of the subject matter, I want to make sure that I start by explaining why I think the concepts in international relations theory and global politics are such a huge part of our daily lives. It's a pretty safe bet that most of us have heard about the term 'interstate rivalry,' which is something that is unique to the United States of America, but what about the rest of the world? For instance, why do we see so much conflict between the United States and other countries in the world? The main reason is that there is no clear global leadership, which means that the United States of America has no monopoly on power, and therefore, no threat of tyranny, in any direction. Additionally, the governments in other countries const antly try to undermine the United States of America in one way or another, trying to get us to back down, and they do this by either coercing us, or by pointing out the weaknesses in our political system, and pointing out what we should have done differently. This is an example of the type of information that I find to be necessary for students to understand in order to pass the IB Global Politics exam. It's just unfortunate that most students have not bothered to actually take a look at what it is that they're studying, or maybe they just haven't studied the topics in a while.
